If you've ever wondered why the Okanagan Valley gets so much hype...Here are 3 good reasons!
LessSitting in amongst the (ever growing) suburbs of West Kelowna, Mount Boucherie is a famous and easily identifiable landmark. The steep sides of the mountain mean that the housing developments sprouting up across West Kelowna are unlikely to ever encroach on its slopes, so no matter how much the city grows Mount Boucherie will always be wild.
If you have a half day free in Kelowna and want to see what the fuss is all about regarding the Okanagan, do this hike. It's not overly strenuous but it starts with a climb right out of the gate and the descent can be slippery in damp conditions. Other than those 2 things, there's not much to worry about and you can get on with enjoying the views!
This is a great route whatever your level of skill - you can hike or run as much of it as you choose without affecting your enjoyment of the route and it's a great trip no matter what speed you do it at.
