The Hiline Trail is both stunningly beautiful and incredibly technical but thankfully, not at the same time. The trail gets its name from the high traverse that it performs above sheer cliff bands along the side of one of Sedona's red rock mountains. Thanks to the trail's vantage point high above the valley floor, riders can enjoy stunning views of the surrounding mountains and red rock formations.

If it's possible for a mountain bike trail to go viral, Hangover has done it. Every Youtube mountain bike channel must now have a Hangover video. Almost every mountain bike publication has written an article about it. And photos of Hangover have flooded Instagram and other social media websites. If any trail is worthy of the fame, it is Hangover.

The Upper Dry Creek Area that this loop runs through is the perfect zone for intermediate riders looking to sample Sedona's famed red rock mountain biking and enjoy gorgeous views of the region. Even expert-level riders can use a break from max-level exposure, and these trails are entertaining enough that just about everyone will enjoy them!

The Slim Shady Trail doesn’t have the flashy name appeal from viral videos that Hangover and Hiline do, and yet this trail is quite popular and well-loved. Slim Shady's popularity is due in part to the extremely easy access. As you can see in the map, the loop route outlined here can be ridden from the Yavapai Trailhead, or it can easily be tacked on to a Hiline ride. For advanced riders that want to crank out miles, I recommend pedaling a Hiline + Slim Shady combo.

This loop on Scorpion and Pyramid provides a chunky, entertaining loop that's still approachable to intermediate riders. The technical difficulty here isn't nearly as insane as you'll find on Hangover and Hiline. While you can spice things up with a couple of challenging line choices, this ride is a true crowd pleaser.

While the Airport Loop doesn’t make most lists of the best rides in Sedona, for the technically-adept rider this chundery trail is a true sleeper hit. This challenging ride offers some of the most fantastic views in the region!
