Made it! The culmination of an epic journey to the foot of the World's highest peak is reaching this legendary spot. The scene of much triumph and tragedy over the past century, Everest Base Camp is storied and stunning in equal measure.

"The World's most dangerous airport" is one of those places everybody should experience...once! The reality is that Lukla sees thousands of safe landings every year, but arriving there is still pretty nerve-wracking!

With huge views across the legendary peaks of the Khumbu region and a wonderfully peaceful ambience, Tengboche is a unique place which is would be a strong contender for the best spot on Earth from which to watch the sunset!

There's a daily talk given at the Pheriche Himalayan Rescue Association clinic about how to deal with the dangers of altitude. Attending - and seeing the amazing work which is done at the clinic - is a great use of a few hours.
