Rip down 5,000 feet of singletrack, from the crest of the mountains to the outskirts of Los Angeles!
LessThis is the LA Area's premiere shuttle run––from the crest of the San Gabriels all the way down to the outskirts of the city far, far below. A plethora of trails begin on the mountain, with options to suit enduro and trail bike riders, but also gnarly lines for the hardcore downhill crowd. While Mount Lowe does boast a well-used and relatively easy-to-follow route, it's best to think of this zone as a massive web of shuttle-able singletrack to mix and match to your heart's content!
Mount Wilson offers a shuttle-able enduro singletrack descent of absolutely epic proportions! Trails in this zone drop boldly from the crest of the mountains in tight, exposed singletrack. With death-defying drop offs and abrupt switchbacks, it's a ride for only the craftiest of bike handlers. If you think you’re ready for it, either cajole a friend into driving you up to Mount Wilson, or book a shuttle from a local company. Then hold on tight until you get to your car at the bottom.
This trailhead is one place you can start down the famous Gabrielino Trail. It’s a burly descent with some serious fall exposure, but comes with quality trail and jaw-dropping views. On this downhill you’ll get fast, flowy one-track but also ultra-technical rock gardens that are guaranteed to challenge most any rider! This trail is subject to seasonal closures, however, so be sure to check the status before you go.
