Washington, D.C. will host the 2023 MLS All-Star, celebrating all things soccer with a full calendar of events. D.C. United has put together a Matchday guide featuring all the spots to add to your list of things to do and see.
LessAudi Field, the home of D.C. United, is located in the fastest-growing neighborhood on the Capital Riverfront, less than a mile from the National Mall. The best way to travel to the stadium is by metro. You can get off at either the Navy Yard metro station or the Southwest Waterfront metro station. Since D.C. has a large Salvadoran population, there's lots of Central American cuisine to enjoy at the stadium. Pupusas are a fan favorite!
The Anthem is a brand-new concert venue situated in the Southwest Waterfront area of D.C. at the Wharf, just one mile from Audi Field. The high-celling venue provides perfect acoustics and an intimate feel for a perfect concert-going experience. The MLS All-Star Concert presented by Target will take place at The Anthem on Monday July 17th, headlined by Kehlani with special guest DJ Pee Wee. If you're in DC, this is an excellent spot to catch a concert or comedy show.
This is a brand-new waterfront neighborhood in D.C. full of entertainment, and some of the best restaurants the city has to offer. There are lots of special activities around MLS All-Star, including Soccer Celebration presented by Coca-Cola Zero Sugar. The MLS event, co-hosted with D.C. United, is on July 15-16. Different areas across the wharf will have fun activations with games, food, and live entertainment to celebrate the joy of soccer and our fan community.
The Brig is a fantastic German-style beer garden located in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Washington, D.C. The area is great to visit and is very walkable. As a popular sports bar, it has plenty of seating and large screen TVs. Grab a seat at one of the picnic tables and enjoy the games. We have previously hosted D.C. United events here, including when Bayern Munich came to D.C. to play. The atmosphere here is full of good vibes!
Solace Brewing Company is located right across the street from Audi Field, making it a very short walk to the stadium. It has become a popular pregame spot for D.C. United supporters since it opened in the neighborhood about a year ago. It's a great soccer bar that shows games and opens early for fans. Obviously, it's a big spot for D.C. United fans, both before and after games.
Lou City's Bar is affiliated with Arsenal, so obviously, with Arsenal coming to D.C., it's a place we gladly include in this guide. It's the official home of the D.C. Armory, which is the official Arsenal FC supporter group in D.C. It's another great bar to watch soccer games. They open early, and we thought it would be a fun and friendly place for all of our Arsenal fans who are traveling to D.C. for the week to hang out and meet new friends.
The Dublin Irish Pub is located right near Union Station in D.C., so for all of our friends who are traveling up and down the East Coast on Amtrak, it's a great little Irish pub to visit. It's actually owned by Andy Coleman, a former minority-owner of D.C. United. They also serve a great brunch, so make sure to add it to your list, especially if you're traveling in and out of D.C. by train.
Dacha Beer Garden is one of our most popular pre-game and post-game spots for D.C. United games. It's located right across the street from Solace Brewing Company. It's best described as a covered, outdoor beer garden, so if the weather is poor, you're safe and sound. Adult fans can enjoy German-style beers along with local brews. They also serve grilled burgers and sausages that are perfect casual bites for pregame.
Pinstripes is a great spot for the entire family. If you're coming in for the weekend and looking for an activity, you can head down to Georgetown, which is also a really fun place to be, and go bowling at Pinstripes. They also have a full-service restaurant for lunch or dinner.
This is one of the most popular Premier League soccer bars in D.C. They are open for every game and it's a very popular D.C. United watch party bar. Solace is more popular during home matches because it's so close to the stadium. But for D.C. residents who are big fans of the black and red, they usually go to Across the Pond to watch away games.
