Zagat's guide to the very best pizza Miami has to offer.
LessThere are a few locations of Mister 01 around Miami, but the South Beach restaurant is great for takeout or dine in. The star luca pie is what you should get here. It has perfectly contained little pockets of hot ricotta cheese in its folded crust. More adventurous eaters should try the coffee paolo, which comes with mozzarella, gorgonzola, honey, ground coffee, and spicy salami.
The New York import serves the same incredible pizza that made the Brooklyn location of Lucali such a hit. Wait times for a table can get long, but it's worth it for this pizza, which tastes like a thin-crust pizza and a classic New York slice had a baby.
The pizza is outstanding at this small Brickell restaurant. They serve a selection of red and white pizza with perfectly blistered crust and soft dough that never gets soggy. There's plenty of natural wine too.
Eleventh Street Pizza is a great New York-style pizza spot operating out of the old Fooq’s space in Downtown. The pepperoni and hot honey pizza comes topped with Calabrian chili paste, caramelized onions, and little pepperoni cups. The Sicilian square slices are great too.
The really pretty outdoor Italian restaurant not only serves tasty Neapolitan pies, but they're also one of the few BYOB spots in Miami.
Andiamo is a mostly outdoor pizza restaurant in a retro building. The pizza here is great, with a sturdy dough that stands up to a lot of toppings. The Sunday pie - with meatballs, ricotta, pepperoncini, and parmesan - is a good choice.
One of the better pizza options in South Beach, La Leggenda serves tender Neapolitan pies that are simple but delicious. They have some outdoor seating and do takeout too.
DC Pie is a Brickell pizza spot from the Lucali team. The pizzas here look (and taste) pretty similar, and there's a lot more seating here than at Lucali too.
La Piazzetta has a huge menu of very good Neapolitan pizzas. Whether you get the minimal piazza caserta with tomato sauce and dabs of buffalo mozzarella, or the slightly more complex diavola with an ideal amount of spicy salami, you’re going to be very happy.
’O Munaciello is a MiMo restaurant with outdoor and indoor seating. They also serve one of Miami’s best Neapolitan pizzas, and the cornicione di ricotta pie has a crust stuffed with ricotta.
