The ride mapped here seeks to make the most of the trail system, but you could even construct a longer route than this!
"Over 27 miles of singletrack run through Hillman State Park, located in the state game lands in and around Bavington,” writes Pennsylvania Dirt. “Known by mountain bikers as just 'Bavington,' it's one of the most beloved mountain biking trail networks in and around Pittsburgh.” The route mapped here covers some of the most popular trails in the Bavington network, found in the Five Points area.

Alameda Park is one of the newest mountain bike trail systems in the greater Pittsburgh area, but this rapidly-growing network has quickly earned a devoted following. In contrast to classic trails in the region like Moraine State Park that only provide challenging, technical, classic singletrack, Alameda consists entirely of machine-built trails.
