Kicking Horse hosts a stop on the Freeride World Tour and when you've seen the resort, you'll understand why the world's best skiers visit every year! The area is high, cold and perfect for advanced skiers and riders.

Nelson's local resort, Whitewater Resort calls itself "Canada's Best Powder Mountain". That's a big call (!) but there's no doubting that 12 metres of average annual snowfall and every type of freeride terrain adds up to a pretty appealing package!
