Bright and bustling Toronto is Canada's most populous city, with a skyline as impressive as any on the planet. It's too much to drink in from any one vantage point, so here's a collection of our favorite views.
LessOk, this one is a gimme. Riding the glass elevators up what was once the world's highest freestanding structure is one of those things you just have to do in Toronto. On a clear day the vista from the top is astounding – a bird's-eye view of the city and lake, Niagara Falls in the distance, even helicopters flying below you; if it's hazy, though, you won't see a thing.
This rooftop bar with floor-to-ceiling windows and a wraparound patio affords guests a 360-degree view of Toronto and a breathtaking outlook on the city skyline. Shareables and finger foods – duck-fat popcorn with sea salt, anyone? – complement the cocktail and wine lists well. Sunsets are particularly busy. Reservations highly recommended.
Set in a one-time general store, Rooster is a shabby-chic coffee shop whose street-side tables have some of the best city views around. The cafe is known for its organic salads, sandwiches and great coffee.
