Outside of the pitch at Q2 Stadium, you won’t find a greener space in Austin than Zilker Park. Home to hiking trails, pickup soccer games, Austin City Limits Music Festival, and much more, Zilker has long been a favorite among Austinites and visitors alike.
Located adjacent to Zilker Park, generations of Austinites have visited Barton Springs Pool to beat the Texas heat. Relax on the grass, use the diving board, or just jump in to this three-acre natural pool which is fed by underground springs.
The boardwalk aside Lady Bird Lake is a great place for a stroll. If you’re looking to get out in a kayak or on a paddleboard, you'll pass plenty of places to rent or launch from.
A short drive from downtown Austin, Mount Bonnell is the best place to catch a view of the city and surrounding landscape alike. Park at the bottom and hike up, or make use of the parking spots just below the scenic overlook.
Headed north and looking to hang near Q2 Stadium on a match day? The Domain has plenty of places to eat, drink, and shop, and is only a 10-minute walk from the home of the Verde & Black.
Just west of downtown is Lake Austin, famous for its amazing views of the surrounding Central Texas hills. Boats will help you travel further distances along the lake to places like the Pennybacker Bridge, but there are plenty of spots to swim, kayak, and paddleboard as well.
About 30 minutes from downtown Austin, Lake Travis is a favorite spot for a lot of Austin FC players. Waterskiing, tubing, kayaking, swimming, and paddleboarding are all popular, as are various scenic overlooks which provide spectacular views of the lake.
