Located in Houston’s oldest Black neighborhood, this farmers market has primarily Black owned businesses selling organic produce, bread, baked goods, juices, honey, home goods, and more, every Saturday from 9 am to 2 pm. Sade Perkins founded this market to provide better access to fresh and local foods. She hopes that it will serve as a gathering space for the community where neighbors can get to know each other. Mo' Better Brews, one of Houston's top vegan restaurants, started as the Houston Sauce Co food truck. On the menu, you'll find a donut sandwich, loaded nachos, gumbo, alfredo and more.
