There’s no better lunchtime institution in Wedgewood-Houston than Gabby’s Burgers and Fries. Open since 2009, Gabby’s is known for its impeccably-built burgers, crispy fries and grilled hot dogs. Plus, look for its secret menu to get unique burgers and hot dogs named after some Nashville icons. The walls are adorned with notable Nashvillians that have dined there, plus memorabilia from the city’s teams. Gabby’s is only open for lunch, so head there early to get your burgers!

Dicey’s, opened in 2022, brings its unique tavern style pizza and sandwiches to Wedgewood-Houston. There is no more unique barber shop in the city than The Handsomizer. Located on Bransford Avenue next to GEODIS Park, the shop is a one-chair operation run by Stephen Mason, also known as Soccer Moses. A mural of Nashville’s soccer prophet adorns the building housing The Handsomizer shop. Come in for a cut, shave and a friendly conversation about the Boys in Gold.
It’s the holidays year-round at Santa’s Pub, located just steps from GEODIS Park on Bransford Avenue. The longtime Music City dive karaoke bar is decorated for Christmas all year round. Stop in for a cold beer and sing your heart out on one of Nashville’s most unique stages. Santa’s is cash-only, so make sure to hit the ATM before you go.
Diskin Cider is Nashville’s go-to destination for craft hard cider. The locally owned and operated cidery features all of its mainstay ciders on tap, as well as its rotating seasonal selection. A modern touch in the heart of Wedgewood-Houston, pH Craft Cocktails is pouring some of Nashville’s most unique drinks. Located just down Wedgeweood Ave from GEODIS Park, Smokin’ Thighs has been a longtime favorite of Nashville SC supporters. Opened in 2012 as a food truck before opening a full-service restaurant in 2014, Smokin’ Thighs serves smoked chicken in the form of wings, plates and sandwiches with a wide variety of sides and other items. With a covered patio and TVs throughout, Smokin’ Thighs is a great spot to grab a bite to eat before heading to a Nashville SC match or enjoying a night out.
