Heralded for its iconic architecture style, this building used to be the original gymnasium for students. Park yourself on one of the porches of the houses on Faculty Row and overlook Olmsted Green. The wide expanse of grass and picturesque view of Chapel Hall gives you a sense of how campus looked hundreds of years ago, before city development took off.
This parking garage has a pleasant view of campus and the neighboring Union Market at the top level. This particularly comes in handy during the Fourth of July if you want to enjoy local firework shows simultaneously.
On a sunny DC day, catch some rays out by the Gally Garden, a community garden maintained by volunteers and interns. From the right spot, you can also see the dome of the Capitol building in the distance.
