Eva Longoria, star and executive producer of Apple TV+'s Land of Women, has fallen in love with Spain, especially Marbella. She shares her favorite spots in the charming Costa del Sol beach town that has captured her heart.
Less“I remember walking in [on my first visit] and asking myself, ‘Where am I?’ I felt transported to a different time. It’s just so beautiful, with a candlelit ambience, wax overflowing from countless candles. The service is simply amazing, and while you can eat inside, Marbella is situated in a microclimate, making it the perfect place to sit outside and truly enjoy the weather. It’s genuinely the happiest and most beautiful place for a romantic dinner.”
“Nota Blu is relatively new, only a couple of years old, but it has an amazing menu. It’s eclectic, and features really interesting dishes that are unique to Nota Blu. They have an incredible cauliflower salad and delicious tuna pizza that I dream about! The restaurant is set outdoors, under the stars and twinkly lights. They have beautiful light fixtures all over the trees, so it feels like you’re dining under the stars.”
“Reserve your lounge chairs here and enjoy the beautiful beach. When you get hungry, simply stroll up to the restaurant in your bikini and enjoy the freshest grilled fish. They serve incredible gambas al ajillo—shrimp in garlic sauce. The best part? You’re dining on the beach, sipping rosé, and you can get right back to the beach. Sandy feet are welcome in the restaurant, making it the perfect spot for a sophisticated lunch, without the need to pack a sandwich.”
“I’m an avid paddle tennis player and I love to play here. This club has recently been voted the number-one paddle tennis club in the world. It’s stunning, with beautiful courts. There’s a restaurant right in the center where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They also have a fantastic bar, a kids’ center, and a great gym. For me, it’s simply perfect.”
“I’ve worked with and supported charity Casa Ángeles for over 10 years! It’s a house where we provide treatments to children who need different therapies. We offer treatments inside the house, and have a pool outside, along with a paddle tennis area. The staff and therapists at Casa Ángeles are literal angels on Earth. Every summer in July and August we host a fantastic summer camp for all children who wish to interact, grow, play, and be loved. It’s likely the most inspiring place you’ll ever v
“This department store reminds me of Galeries Lafayette in Paris. It’s a special store, especially this one in Marbella because it has the biggest paddle tennis section in the world. It stocks every brand, racket, and shoe, making it the most comprehensive collection of paddle tennis equipment. In addition to this, the store also offers high fashion and home goods. It’s one of my favorite places in Marbella.”
“If you’re visiting Marbella for the first time, make sure to spend some time at the marina. It has a boardwalk filled with shops, ice cream parlors, restaurants, and yachts parked right out front. It’s a beautiful place to spend the day just walking around. Also, Marbella is easy to navigate with one main road. It’s a bit like the Hamptons.”
"I love Gran Meliá Don Pepe, which has an amazing pool and a sushi restaurant on the beach. I really love that place.”
“This is an amazing resort. They have a fantastic paddle tennis center that I love. They offer the best beach dining experience with Chiringuito, a restaurant located on the beach. Perfect for breakfast and lunch, it’s a place where you can savor a glass of white wine while enjoying their fabulous Mediterranean menu. The whole experience is truly beautiful.”
“Estepona is a beautiful small town 10 minutes away from Marbella, and I highly recommend it. It’s rich in history. There are so many nearby places to visit. That’s what I love about Marbella: its accessibility. You can easily travel to Seville, Córdoba, and Málaga by train. But despite all these amazing nearby places, you’ll always return to the paradise that is Marbella!”
