Chrissy Chlapecka is a queer chicago-based artist, performer, comedian, content creator, & singer. With a sprinkle of vocal talent, a dash of humor, and a wad of stage presence, Chrissy is well on her way to become the Internet's next house-hold name
LessBerlin is an amazing, inclusive, fun, and safe environment/nightlife destination for all queer people. I have met so many great friends who I hold close to my heart. The performances and talents are amazingly unreal and passionate, and I am honored to to experience this and celebrate queerness with these people at an amazing club!
Nobody’s Darling is a black-owned, queer-owned, and woman-owned bar in Andersonville. It’s an amazingly welcoming spot for queer fems and queer people of color. I adore the atmosphere and love their drinks. 10/10!
Jennivee's Bakery is a Filipina-owned and Trans-owned bakery in lakeview. Their treats are so tasty and SO full of passion! Words can’t even describe how great it is; you’ll have to try it out yourself! Also, if you’re looking for a nice atmosphere–this place has the cutest aesthetics.
I love Hydrate so much! This was one of the first queer bars I’ve visited, and it means so much to me. I adore all of the drag shows that go on all weekend, such as Bubble Pop hosted by Khloe Couleè and Bring The Beat In hosted by my BFF Angelíca Grace! It’s such a fun spot to meet people and enjoy drag.
About Face Theatre is Chicago’s leading queer theatre company dedicated to expanding the national dialogue on gender and sexuality. It’s a great space for the queer youth of Chicago to feel safe and to develop as artists together as a community.
The Music Box does an event every month called “Rated Q” hosted by Ramona Slick, a drag ICON and a best friend of mine. It is a celebration of queerness, cinema, and camp. It’s such a fun, exciting, and intriguing way to bond with other queer people over the combination of drag and movies.
