The popular Belgian actor does not only crush Netflix streaming records. He also expresses his creativity with spray cans as ZENITH. This tour will cut to several spots in Antwerp that have been visited by the actor slash graffiti artist.
LessZenith grew up in this neighborhood, and unfortunately many of his works disappeared. This one didn’t. Enter 'Costa', a public meeting place for young and old. Walk around the back of the building and spot one of Zenith's oldest pieces. Despite the age, the colors of this neon style painting still pop. You better take a step back for this one. On the big copper building you'll find a giant hand. Painted in his "Fissures & Flaws" series for King Philippe of Belgium. Because of the Covid pandemic in 2020 the Belgian National Holiday couldn't take place so the King asked Bozar Brussels to create several artworks, he wanted to help reconnect all Belgians through art in these difficult times. On the parking lot of AVA you can find a double banger! On one side you'll find a collaboration with internationally renowned Steve Locatelli on a green background. On the blind wall of this hostel you'll find another "Fissures & Flaws" artwork. Zenith current abstract style is inspired by cracks in walls that deteriorate over time. It also offers space for artists to cooperate with Zenith. This time with Brussels legend Defo. This wall, represents light in darkness, the transformation of pain into power and the mirroring nature of opposites. Squeezed between the trackside and the highway, the best place to spot this beauty is from the new cycle bridge at Berchem Station. Bringing back the BUCK trio after all these years was a challenge! BUCK, Zenith’s old crew also includes his buddies Bué & Chase. "Open your mind before your mouth"; why this text? Because nowadays people share opinions quickly and loudly, without giving it some thought or reflecting a bit on it. Recognize this?
Right next to the old entrance of the "Zomerfabriek" (translated as summer factory) you'll find another Zenith quote amongst many many artists that totally bomb this place during the graffiti festival ‘Meeting of Styles’. In the 2017 edition, his fame forced him to work incognito during the evening or even at night. His only way to be able to attend the international graffiti festival "Meeting of Styles Belgium". Another typographic style work by Zenith & co. on the exact same spot where they've done a collaboration before in 2011. Since that work was fading, Zenith thought it was time to re-do the wall, bringing a fresh breeze of color in this update.
